Field Applications Engineer Intern

FIELD-BASED
Major Function

To research key topics on power electronics and power supply to generate a training material as part of SL Power University. To use broad SL Power product technical expertise to influence customer decision on their power solution needs.

Essential Function
  • Research on power electronics and power supply topics.
  • Support customer in their power needs by helping integrate power supplies in their application.
  • Providing customers with proactive proposals for complete power solutions.
  • Works with other members of the field application and engineering team to create training modules on Power supply.
  • Collect and analyze information on competitors power supply products.
  • Establish and support a regular cadence of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting needs of the team.
  • Documents and participates in the implementation of SL University initiative.
Education & Experience
  • Currently working towards a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering. Preferably a Junior or a Senior.
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge in power electronics and power supply including switching mode power supply.
  • Experienced in preparing presentations with audio and visual aids.
  • Professional and positive communication skills.
  • Ability to develop constructive and effective working relationships within and outside the organization.
  • Manages workload with a strong sense of urgency.
