SL Power Electronics recently exhibited at the MD&M Minneapolis trade show, which took place from October 31st to November 1st at the city convention center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
“Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) Minneapolis is where serious professionals find the technologies, education, and connections needed to thrive in the MedTech community. Featuring an unmatched supplier showcase offering solutions in contract manufacturing, manufacturing equipment, automation, materials, and beyond.”.
MD&M Minneapolis is the Midwest’s largest MedTech event, with more than 5,000 visitors hitting the exhibit hall in search of the ideal solutions for their application. SL Power’s full lineup of their latest and greatest power conversion solutions designed for Medical applications was on full display. The all-star of the show, generating the most buzz, was the new GB Series, primarily the GB10 due to its unbelievably small size.
The GB Series was designed to offer superior performance and minimize the effort required for system integration across many markets and application including Test & Measurement, Medical, Lighting, and Industrial. The newly developed product families come in 10-watt, 20-watt, 30-watt and 40-watt configurations. Each family is comprised of models with varying voltages ranging from 5V to 24V. These units are approved to medical and industrial safety standards: EN/IEC/UL60601-1, 3rd edition (with 2 MOPP isolation), and EN/IEC/UL62368-1. In addition, they are designed to meet the EMC requirements per UL/EN/IEC60601-1-2, 4th edition (Heavy Industrial levels of EN61000-4-x standards). They will operate at universal input range of 90 to 264Vac over the wide temperature range of -20°C to +70°C, delivering full rated output power up to +40°C and applicable output power derating up to 70°C. These models are available as an open frame or PCB mount for greater flexibility.
In addition, they deliver all-around superior performance when stacked against the competition in terms of Thermal Management, Reliability, EMI/EMC, Power Density and Power Efficiency.
